Touching silver bars weighing 1,000 oz. or 80lbs. and worth $26,000.00 each in the shipping and receiving area at the United States Mint in West Point, NY on Friday, May 18, 2012. The U.S. Mint is producing up to 2 million silver medals to help support operations of the National September 11 Memorial and Museum and to commemorate the tenth anniversary of 9/11.
